Still, something is making the former "most curmudgeonly rocker" very happy, and Mustaine makes an almost comical exit, to the sound of Sid Vicious's version of My Way, waving and blowing kisses to the crowd. MEGADETHs Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum 'Countdown To Extinction' album has been made available in full Dolby Atmos, submerging listeners in full 3D immersive sound with a new level a clarity. Megadeth has long avoided my praise due half to Dave’s poor vocals and lyricism and half to the total absence of real feeling in the otherwise impressive playing. The MusicRadar staff explained that the record saw. CD / Megadeth Rust In Peace / 1990 / Remixed & Remastered 2004. Rust in Peace was the first album Megadeth recorded with their all-star lineup of Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson, Marty Friedman, and Nick Menza. Nothing Megadeth did in the 80’s really struck me as all that amazing (no, not even Peace Sells) but Rust in Peace is almost as incredible as the legends tell. In a reader poll organized by MusicRadar in 2010, Rust in Peace was voted as the sixth best metal album ever. Edit Release All Versions of this Release Recently Edited. In truth, the set leans a little too heavily on old glories, and the mere two songs from new album Super Collider disguise a recent shift into more straightforward hard rock. However, of all the thrash albums Ive listened to in my life, there are none that have captured (and held onto) my attention so completely as Megadeths Rust in Peace. However, the real show is Mustaine himself, an unfeasibly long-locked 51-year-old able to wring guitar solos of stupendous virtuosity from his Flying V while simultaneously thrusting his crotch and engaging a roadie in deep and possibly religious conversation.Ī clutch of songs from 1992's Countdown to Extinction album make vaguely anti-war noises while revelling in the imagery. Rust in Peace is just a colossal rollercoaster ride which delivers some impeccable musicianship from front man, Dave Mustaine, bassist, David Ellefson, and the then, new members, Nick Menza on drums, and. While this is the band’s fourth album, it is their first with their classic lineup and ultimately established Megadeth as not just a great band, but a genre titan. To have one metal masterpiece is a great achievementgoing onto surpass Peace Sells with Rust in Peace puts Megadeth above most of the rest. Where Mustaine once blew recording budgets on hedonistic excess, now he splashes out on computer graphics for those moments when a song clearly needs an image of a giant eyeball. About Review: Rust in Peace Megadeth Posted on Octoby cap6065 Welcome to my third review, of Megadeth’s 1990 album, the almighty Rust In Peace.

In other words, a prima facie principle/obligation is that which sometimes is overridden when it conflicts with an equal or a stronger obligation it is always right and binding, all other things being equal. For the moral philosopher, Ross, a prima facie principle is that “principle always to be acted upon unless it conflicts on a particular occasion with an equal or stronger principle”. The second version makes it clear that the principle of beneficence is a prima facie moral obligation. This is to say that utility as a principle of beneficence in biomedical ethics makes it imperative for physicians and other health workers to carefully analyze, evaluate and promote those actions that bring more benefits to others (i.e. This principle, unlike the first, requires weighing and balancing benefits and harms in moral life. The second version is the principle of utility. It also includes the promotion of welfare of others. This principle requires the provision of benefits including the prevention and removal of harm from others (i.e. The first principle is known as the principle of positive beneficence. This makes it important to distinguish two principles under the general principle of beneficence-the principle of positive beneficence and the principle of utility. However, equally important is the obligation to assess or “weigh and balance the possible goods against the possible harms of an action”. The complexities of beneficence in biomedicineĪs has been seen on the nature of the principle of beneficence explicated above, the obligation to confer benefits and actively prevent and remove harms from patients is important in biomedical ethics. Thus the Hippocratic Oath, by itself, is a “mere” skeleton of the principle of beneficence in so far as it sheds light on concepts that define what it means to be a physician and to “benefit the sick” while avoiding “harm and injustice”’-the moral responsibility of physicians to do away with the sufferings of the sick, and to lessen the violence of their diseases. Yet like its old version, the Oath stresses on the virtues that keep the physician's attention fixed on his obligations to patients and the latter's best interests, rather than the physician's personal interests. However, over the last 20 years, there has been growing dissatisfaction with the individual rights-centered ethical framework. In the modern era, the Hippocratic Oath is traceable to the 18 th century with John Gregory and after World War II, medical ethics started to advocate patient autonomy in the guise of informed consent. As such, the physician, according to the Hippocratic writings has always had the obligation to “apply dietetic measures to the benefit of the sick according to his ability and judgment, and he ought to keep patients from harms and injustice”. The central values of the classical Hippocratic ethics were non-maleficence (doing no harm), beneficence and confidentiality. This has its earliest expression or its primary historical sources in ancient Greece and the Hippocratic Oath which characterizes physicians as a group of committed men (as women were excluded from medicine in the Greek society) set apart from and above others in the society. The model clearly explicates that the central theme for beneficence is the physician's obligation to benefit patients. This is to say that beneficence as a principle of medical ethics asserts an obligation (on the part of the physician) to help others (patients) further their important and legitimate interests and abstain from injuring them in any way, that is, psychologically, morally or physically.įrom the foregoing, it can be noted that the central question for beneficence within the patient-physician relationship is: “What does it mean for the physician to seek the greater balance of good over harm in the care of patients?” The beneficence model answers this question at least in terms of the perspective that medicine takes on the patient's best interests rather than the physician's. More commonly in medical ethics, beneficence is understood as a principle requiring that physicians provide, and to the best of their ability, positive benefits such as good health, prevent and remove harmful conditions from patients. Though traditionally, acts of beneficence are oftenly done from obligation, the principle is suggestive of altruism, humanity, unconditional love and non-obligatory optional moral ideals. However broadly used in English, the word beneficence is considered to mean “the doing of good, the active promotion of good, kindness and charity” or any action that is done for the benefit of others. As such, a number of interpretations have been conjured. The concept of beneficence though widely used in medicine is difficult to define with precision. Understanding the nature of the principle of beneficence The painting is not a static image but rather a glimpse into the artist's perception of the world a perception that is dynamic, vibrant, and intimately tied to the emotions evoked by the scene.Īs we stand before "San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk," we are not just witnessing a painting we are immersing ourselves in an experience. The brushwork, while seemingly spontaneous, is deliberate in its execution, meticulously layering colors and textures to create a harmonious composition that captures the essence of the fleeting moment. "San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk" embodies Monet's devotion to the Impressionist ideals of capturing the interplay of light and atmosphere. Monet's signature brushstrokes, characterized by their loose and fragmented quality, capture the essence of this transitional moment, where day transforms into night. The cityscape that surrounds it is a symphony of colors, where warm oranges and delicate pinks seamlessly blend with cool blues and purples. The bell tower of the San Giorgio Maggiore church stands as a sentinel against the fading light, its intricate details softened by the encroaching twilight. The scene unfolds with a sense of stillness and serenity. The painting invites us to step into a realm where reality melds with the artist's perception, blurring the boundaries between form and abstraction. Painted by the iconic Impressionist artist, this evocative work is a testament to Monet's revolutionary approach to capturing fleeting moments of light, atmosphere, and emotion on canvas.Ĭompleted in 1908, " San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk" showcases Monet's profound ability to translate the ephemeral beauty of a specific time of day into a timeless artistic expression. As the sun dips below the horizon, casting its final golden hues across the tranquil waters of Venice, Claude Monet's masterpiece "San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk" comes to life. They test water and rocks nearby to find out what kinds of minerals and gases came from the volcano. What does a volcanologist do? They study lava left behind from explosions of volcanoes as well as water and rocks around the sites of volcanoes to learn more about what is going on inside a volcano. However, the nutrients found in the lava and ash that a volcanic eruption spreads across the land actually work like a fertilizer that makes the soil a perfect place for new plants to grow! Predicting VolcanoesĪ person who studies volcanoes is called a volcanologist. Plants and trees are often burned by the flowing hot lava or completely covered (sometimes made into fossils). The effects of a volcano on the land surrounding it can be very deadly. The lava flows very quickly and is very dangerous because it is burning hot! Dangerous gases, whole rocks, and ash can also shoot out of a volcano along with lava. Once the magma reaches the surface of the earth and explodes out of the volcano, it is called lava. The melted rock that is pushed out of the earth is called magma. There can even be vents in the floor of the ocean, so sometimes volcanoes can erupt underwater. Sometimes the vent is in a flat area and the rock that erupts cools around the vent and the volcano forms its own mountain-like structure. Often times the vent is inside of a mountain, which means that when a volcano erupts, it shoots out of the top of the mountain. Then, extremely high pressure from inside the earth builds up so much that it forces the melted rock up out of the earth through the vent, causing a volcano! The temperature in the deeper layers of the earth sometimes gets so hot that it melts rocks that are deep down in the earth, in the mantle and the core. How Volcanoes Are FormedĪ volcano is formed when there is a crack or hole in the crust, called a vent. Also check out this Earth Cross-Section Model as a helpful visual way to teach kids about earth’s layers. Check out the Earth’s Layers science project to make a simple model. If we could cut the earth in half, its layers would look something like the picture above. Scientists believe that the inner core is a solid ball made mostly of iron and is more than 750 miles thick! The inner core is at the very center of the earth, surrounded by the outer core. The outer core is extremely hot and is made mostly of molten (or melted) iron, which is called magma. There is an outer core and an inner core. Sometimes parts of the mantle get hot enough to melt the rock so that it flows sort of like melted plastic.Ĭore – The core is the layer below the mantle, farthest down into the earth. It is the middle layer and is very thick – in fact, it is about 1800 miles thick! This layer is made of rock that is very heavy – heavier than any type of rock on the crust of the earth. Mantle – The layer under the crust is called the mantle. The crust layer is about 20 miles thick (it is not as thick under the oceans as under land). These plates are huge slabs of rock that can move slightly and sometimes rub against each other, causing earthquakes and volcanoes. It is divided up into smaller sections called tectonic plates. Some parts of the crust are covered by land (the continents, like North America and Africa) and some parts are covered with water (the oceans). The amazing planet we live on is made up of several layers.Ĭrust – The top layer, which we know the most about because it’s where we live, is called the crust. Volcano Science Lesson The Earth’s Layers With appropriate preparation, most subclavian venous lines can be placed without assistance however, in the operating room, a surgical scrub tech is often beneficial.īefore the initial incision or needle stick, excellent skin prep is required to prevent invocation of the catheter with skin flora. This can be completed with either betadine or chlorhexidine solution. It is also important to ensure that all participants in the room are wearing a surgical mask and head cover. Patients are transported to the radiology department for PICC line insertion. The operator should use sterile gown and gloves as well. Before the procedure, the patient is placed in the Trendelenburg position. They are most often inserted into longer stay patients if it becomes difficult to find a suitable IV site. They take longer to insert than other central lines and are not generally inserted when the patient is acutely ill. They are generally not used for CVP monitoring. PICC catheters can be used to give drugs that require a central line. Thus, the catheter is called a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter. The catheter is very long and thin, and is advanced until the tip of the catheter is located in a large central vein. A PICC line is an IV that is inserted peripherally, usually in the bend of the arm. The introducer is often called the "Cordis" this was the Trade name for the first product ever produced.Īnother type of Central Venous Catheter is a PICC line. This " introducer" can be used as an additional central line regardless of whether a catheter is inserted through the centre. Multi-lumen catheters are often inserted through a short central line with a wider inner diameter. Multi-lumen catheters allow us to run several different infusion with only one access site (Image 2). A double lumen catheter has 2 lumens while a triple lumen catheter has 3. A different intravenous infusion can be connected to each lumen, and the fluid will usually exit at a slightly different point along the catheter. A multi-lumen catheter is a single catheter with more than one internal channel (called a lumen). Many of the Central Venous Catheters used are " multi-lumen catheters". A low oxygen level in the venous blood indicates that the patient's cardiac output is too low. This is known as a venous blood gas sample. A large Central Venous Catheter makes it easy to give fluid rapidly when required.Ĭentral venous catheters can also be used to measure the amount of oxygen in the blood that is returning to the heart. CVP measurements help us to determine the amount of IV fluid a patient needs. This pressure is known as the Central Venous Pressure or CVP. They can be connected to a pressure monitoring system and used to measure the pressure inside the right side of the heart. Most critically ill patients will have a Central Venous Catheter.Ĭentral Venous Catheters can be used for other reasons. Drugs that are used to treat low blood pressure, chemotherapy agents and solutions with high concentrations of glucose (sugar) are examples of drugs that need to be administered through a Central Vein. Administration of these drugs into large central veins allows the drugs to be rapidly diluted by the large blood volume. Many of the drugs used during critical illness are irritating or harmful to small blood vessels. The most common sites are: subclavian (upper chest), jugular (neck) or femoral (groin). These catheters are inserted percutaneously ("cutaneous" means skin, "per" means through). A "Central Venous Catheter" or Central IV is an intravenous catheter that is inserted into a large vein close to the right side of the heart. You’ll want to include 2-3 inches of extra tint on all sides.ĭO NOT remove the liner in this step. This solution will allow the tint to temporarily adhere for sizing.Ĥ.2 Next, with the liner side facing you, unroll and place the window tint film over the entire outside of the window so that no part of the window is left visible. Installation Step 4: Measure and Cut the Film to SizeĤ.1 Generously spray the water and soap solution onto the outside of the window. Refill your soap and water solution for installation. Keep the side that can be peeled, the adhesive side, facing you until we move on to the application of the interior window. Similar to a sticker, one side of the film has a layer that can be peeled off before application. It’s important to know which side of the film is the adhesive. Prepare your window tint film by slowly opening the film roll. You’ll roll your car windows up and down throughout the process, but roll them up for this next part. You can do this by using your finger with the rag and wiping underneath the window seals.Ĭomplete this same process on all windows and make sure every window is wiped until completely dry. Similar to the cleaning step, you’ll want to make sure to dry all crevices and corners. Wipe the soap and water solution off using the squeegee, then use the lint-free cloth to thoroughly dry the glass. DO NOT use Windex or any cleaner with ammonia unless you want to alter the color of your tint.Make sure to take your time to really clean the windows, as well as the crevices.Though tint is applied to the interior of the window, it’s important to clean both the exterior and interior very well. Spray a good amount of the solution, then remove all dirt and grime using the squeegee. Preparation Step 1: Clean the Windows Thoroughly cleaned windows are the foundation to a good tint job.ġ.1 Clean the car windows extremely well by using the soap and water solution.ġ.2 Roll down the window 2-3 inches so that you can also clean the top of the window as well. If you know that your patience is low, you might want to consider a different DIY project. Don’t expect to spend less than 15 minutes a window because then you’ll end up throwing window tint rolls at your garage walls. We’re just trying to give it to you straight! Read all about how to prevent tint from bubbling here.Ī Razor Blade – This will be the blade you use to cut the window film to fit the size and dimensions of your windows. If any piece of dirt or lint is left on the windows when the tint is applied, it can turn into tint bubbles. Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth – Make sure to get a lint-free cloth as these will be used in conjunction with the squeegee to remove all buildup on the windows. You’ll be using the squeegee often so this is an important one not to miss. Squeegee – This will be used to remove cleaner, dirt, and debris from windows prior to installation. Note: You’ll find yourself having to make more solution throughout the process. We recommend the MCBROTHER line that’s durable and affordable.Īpplication Solution – You can easily make this solution by filling a spray bottle with 95% water and adding a few drops of soap. Installing a darker tint than the limit can result in fines. Tint Window Film – Make sure to purchase tint window film AFTER reviewing your state’s window tint laws. A garage is recommended for a good place to install window tint. It’s important to find a location removed from dust and debris. This method should work on any platform, but has only been verified for Steam and physical disk. Mass Effect 2 is available in a variety of formats. Consult the Readme for installation directions. Erik JS's patcher can be found on GitHub. For that, you must use a method similar to ME3, which is a DLL Patcher. ME2 won't load your new DLC mod unless it's told to. The Name field should match the TLK String ID for the DLC common name. Version=0 and Flags=2/0 are persistent across all BioWare DLC. DLCInfo - references have not fully been deciphered.Engine.DLCModules - refers to the name of the DLC folder (DLC_EXP_ILMM) and the numerical integer embedded in the TLK file name (60 DLC_60_INT.tlk).SeekFreePCPaths - identifies the relative path to the DLC mod's CookedPC folder.Note the following about the INI in the screenshot to the left: Other INIs may be needed to implement other features in the mod, but functionality only requires one. ME2 DLC mods only need a single INI file for functionality: BIOEngine.ini. Count up the length of your folder name, including the first empty byte at the end, convert, and overwrite the vanilla value with the new length. The length is specified by the preceding 4 bytes. This is also handled exactly the same as the Common Name. The folder name here should exactly match the folder as you've named it in your ME2 DLC folder. Handle this just like the Common Name, and don't disrupt the 5 bytes of zeros at the end. The example uses "400310", which translates to B6 1B 06 00 in hex. Input your string integer from above into Hex Converter and convert it into little endian. Next is the TLK string ID reference for the common name. Convert to get the hex in little endian and overwrite the vanilla value. Count up your total bytes in HxDen-including the single "." at the end-and enter the integer into Hex Converter (same process as above). The four bytes that precede the common name tell the game its length. IF you changed the length of the common name in the previous step by removing or adding bytes then you must make an additional edit. DO NOT overwrite any of the hex that comes after the vanilla name. If your common name is LONGER, you must insert additional bytes in HxDen to compensate (Edit > Insert bytes). If your common name is shorter, you can make things easy for yourself and "zero out" the remaining vanilla text directly in the hex (not the ANSI). IMPORTANT: Changes to length of the common name matter. Like with the mount priority, just enter this over the existing name, but this time, click into the ANSI text to the right of the hex and enter letters rather than numbers. Next is the common name for your mod (i.e., what you'll title your mod on Nexusmods or another hosting site). Just click into the hex and type over (replace) the existing mount. Since the trilogy uses a hex format called "little endian", we need that number, which is 36 01 00 00. This will translate the integer into various formats. Using ME3Explorer's Hex Converter insert "310" into the Signed Integer field and then click the adjacent Convert. In this case, the mount integer chosen is 310. The other important rule is that no two DLC can share the same mount. The rule is simple: highest priority wins. A DLC's mount priority controls how it will override the base game and other DLC, when identical content (like files) is present. Changing this byte from 02 to 01 ensures the mod will not be built into the same game as dependent DLC. To amend the file for a DLC mod, open it with HxDen and make the following changes: For reference and comparison purposes, below is an unmodded mount file for the Arc Projector weapon DLC:Ĭopy this or any other ME2 DLC's mount file into your mod's CookedPC. The Mount.dlc for ME2 is quite simple but a little different than ME3. If you discover information not posted here, please bring our attention to it in the Wiki section of our forums. Please note that DLC mods for ME2 are still somewhat experimental. Names outside BioWare's convention may work, but are currently untested. Again, you want to keep the name for your mod unique. Be aware that ME2 uses different naming conventions than ME3 for the TLK file name (e.g., DLC_40_INT.tlk). It also omits the DLC folder name string. It's more foolproof to use a string beyond 817700. This may be alright, but occurs inside BioWare's known range. Note: that the example uses string ID 400310.
A dictionary is probably the data type you can do the most with using a for loop.In this week's Python snippet post, we're taking a look at dictionaries and some methods we can use for iterating over dictionaries in different ways. It’s a fundamental control structure for performing repetitive tasks. In Python, a for loop is used to iterate over a sequence (such as a list, tuple, string, or range) or other iterable objects. Example 1: Access both key and value using items() The items() method should be used to loop through the dictionary’s key and values. This loop allows you to iterate through each value in the dictionary one at a time. How to Iterate Over a Dictionary with For Loopĭictionary is a collection of data in key-value pair form. In this example, when num is equal to 3, the continue statement is executed, skipping the print statement for that iteration. A Python for loop is probably the simplest technique to traverse through a dictionary. # Output: Twitter is about to be bought by Elon Musk. Print(platform, "is about to be bought by Elon Musk.") You can print the individual items in a set with the for loop like this: soc_set = Print(footballer, "is an active footballer") You can get a little more creative by making people know that the names in the tuple represent some active footballers: footballers_tuple = ("Ronaldo", "Mendy", "Lukaku", "Lampard", "Messi", "Pogba") You told python to expect a bunch of tuples, and it tried to unpack something that wasn't a tuple (your code is set up to expect each iterated item to be of the form (key, value), which was not the case (you were simply getting key on each iteration). # Output: Ronaldo Mendy Lukaku Lampard Messi Pogba Iterating through a dictionary only gives you the keys. footballers_tuple = ("Ronaldo", "Mendy", "Lukaku", "Lampard", "Messi", "Pogba") How to Iterate Over a Tuple with a For LoopĪ tuple is an iterable data type in Python, so you can write a for loop to print the items in it. # Output: Python JavaScript PHP Rust Solidity Assembly To iterate over a list with the for loop, define the list as separate data and then write the for loop, like this: lang_list = ĭon’t forget that you can print all the items in one line with the end keyword: lang_list = How to Iterate Over a List with a For Loop During this transformation, items within the original dictionary. With this, you tell Python that you want whitespace instead of a new line in the console. Dictionary comprehension is a method for transforming one dictionary into another dictionary. You can do that by passing whitespace to the end parameter right inside the print() statement. What if you want to print the letters in a single line? This will print all the letters in the string individually: # Output: You can iterate over string as shown below: name = "freeCodeCamp" To get the most out of this tutorial, you should be already familiar with Python lists, for loops, conditional statements, and reading datasets with the reader() method. Inside of the for loop the code uses key to. In this Python tutorial, you'll learn how to create a Python dictionary, how to use its methods, and dictionary comprehension, as well as which is better: a dictionary or a list. How to Iterate Over a String with a For Loop For each loop iteration Python automatically assigns the value of key to the name of the next key in the dictionary. When looping through a dictionary, the return value are the keys of the dictionary, but there are methods to return the values as well. You can do this with a tab or press the spacebar 4 times.Īs I mentioned above, you can iterate over any iterable data with a for loop. You can loop through a dictionary by using a for loop.
